Fred Soffen, 57, died Friday, February 4 at his home, on Winterton Dr., Fayetteville. A native of Brooklyn, Mr. Soffen had lived in the Syracuse area 30 years. He was a salesman for Haggar Slacks in central and western New York; Mr. Soffen was a former partner of the Mr. Shop at Shoppingtown DeWitt. Mr. Soffen was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, its Men\'s Club, the LaFayette Country Club, the Mens Group of the Jewish Home of Central New York, the National Assn. of Mens and Boys Wearing Apparel Club,of New York State. He was a Navy veteran of World War Two and had served in the Pacific. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Soffen; two sons, Scott Soffen of Metaire, La, and John Soffen of Fayetteville; a daughter, Nancy Soffen of Fayetteville; his mother, Mrs. Rae Soffen of Brooklyn Services were Monday at Temple Adath Yeshurun with burial in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
