September 10, 2005 Rose Greenhouse, 98, born in New York City (07/07/07), was a resident of Syracuse since 1917. She graduated from Vocational High School. Mrs. Greenhouse was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and its sisterhood. She also was a member of the Auxiliary of the Jewish Home of Central New York, Hadassah, a life member of Community General Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of LaFayette Country Club. She was predeceased by her husband, William, who was co-founder of Pilgrim Packing Co., and her sisters, Beatrice Kestenblatt in 1993 and Irene Rappaport in 2005. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Howard Suslow; granddaughters, Wendy (Marc) Rudofker and Lisa (Michael) Wachs; four great-grandchildren: Eric and Adam Rudofker and Adam and Danielle Wachs; a brother, Herman Kestenblatt; and a sister, Sylvia Siegler; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted today, September 11, at 2 p.m. from Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, 1909 E.
