February 25, 2003 Tillie Edelman, 86, of Community Convalescent Home of LaMesa, LaMesa, CA, died Tuesday. She was born in Syracuse and graduated from North High. She owned/operated Northern Flooring in Massena, NY with her husband until 1978; she was of the Jewish faith; she was an accomplished actress in Little Theatre; she enjoyed bridge, golf and tennis. She was predeceased by her husband Nathan J. Edelman who passed away on 7/6/1997. Survivors: three daughters, Miriam Edelman of Green Brae, CA, Marcia Callenberger of Placerville, CA, Lois Hawken of Blackrock, CT; one son Howard Edelman of San Diego, CA; one sister Bernice Smith of Utica, NY; one brother Thomas Immerman of Malone, NY; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Gussie Jaffe Immerman. Services: 2:00 PM, Thursday Feb. 27 at Jacobson-Pizer Funeral Chapel, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica, NY. Burial: Tifereth Zvi Cemetery, Woods Rd., Whitesboro, NY. No calling hours. Shiva will be observed at the home of Bernice Smith, 150 Genesee St., Apt. 31, from 6-8 PM, Thursday evening.
