March 9, 2005 Arthur Field, 91, died Wednesday at the Jewish Home of Menorah Park. Mr. Field was born in Brooklyn, where he graduated from Brooklyn College and attended Brooklyn Law School. He served in the Army during World War II. After movingto Syracuse, Mr. Field founded the Ace Home Equipment Company in 1947 and remained until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Philo-Mt. Sinai Lodge #968, Jewish War Veterans Onondaga Post 131, former Commander of Jewish War Veterans and founder of the Syracuse Landlords Association. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn "Min" Posner Field; sons, Steven Field, and Mark (Susan) Field; three grandchildren, Lia, Corinne and Zachary Field; and a brother, Norman Field. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
