R. Donald Schwartz, 90, died Friday in Sandy, UT. Born in Syracuse to Abraham and Lillian Schwartz, he lived most of his life in Syracuse. He and his wife, Elaine, raised their family in Fayetteville until retiring to Erieville, and then to Boynton Beach, FL. They recently moved to Sandy, UT. Donald was the owner of The Wardrobe of DeWitt. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country during WWII. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, where he chaired Youth Programming; a past President of DeWitt Rotary; a past Secretary and board member of The American Formalwear Association; and a past President of the Erieville Lake Association. He was affiliated with the restoration of the Erie Canal Park, and an active volunteer at The JFK Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL. His family includes his wife, Elaine of 67 years; their sons, Lee of Sandy, UT, and Barry (Christine) of Boynton Beach; their grandchildren Amie (Jake), Briggs, Dustin, and Erin; and their great grandchildren, Katelin, and Molly. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions in Donald\\\'s memory may be made to Temple Adath Yeshurun.
