Leonore R. France Spector, 95, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Menorah Park. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie France and sister of the late Jeanne Gordon. Leonore graduated from Nottingham High School. She was an active golfer and bridge player and very active in the Jewish community. She worked at the Jewish Community Center, the Israel bond office, and was secretary at Temple Beth El for many years. Survived by her daughters, Heidi (David) Francey and Shel (Donal) Little; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Foundation at Menorah Park.
