Charles Goldsmith, 80, died Friday at his home in Royal Palm Beach with his loving wife beside him. Charles was born in Syracuse on January 4, 1934 to Joseph and Frances Goldsmith. He was a life resident of Syracuse. He and Sheila were married in 1987, and made their home in Chittenango. In retirement, they spent the winters at their home in Royal Palm Beach. He was a past president of The Chittenango Oz Foundation. Chuck was a retired pharmacist having worked for Wegmans in the DeWitt location, a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, and a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Shirley Raymond and Mimi Lipstein. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila of 27 years; his sister, Barbara Grossman; his sister-in-law, Marlene Sallerson; his brother-law, Edward (Lucille) Sallerson; his children, Jeffrey, Jeanine, and Vicki; his grandchildren, Jeanette, and Thomas; his nieces and nephews, Steven (Patty) Grossman, Gary (Bonnie) Grossman, Rick Raymond, Gerald (Lori) Raymond, Peter (Catherine) Sallerson, Keith Sallerson, Janet (David) Mursky; and Daniel (Judy) Sallerson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 14 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Joshua Ian Davis Memorial Fund, c/o The Jewish Community Foundation of CNY, 5655 Thompson Road, DeWitt, NY 13214. Shiva will be observed at Lori and Gerry Raymond\\'s home on Sunday, September 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, September 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
