Irving J. Speigel, 68, of 132 Remington Ave. died Tuesday at Grouse Irving Memorial Hospital. A native of Albany, Mr. Speigel lived in Syracuse 38 years. He retired in 1981 after 27 years as a drug salesman with Dow Chemical Corp. Mr. Speigel was a 1950 graduate of Northwestern University School of Optometry. Mr. Speigel was a member of Philo-Mount Sinai Lodge. F and AM. He was an Army veteran of World
War II. Surviving are his wife, Clara; two daughters, Karen Biusman and Deborah Goldfischer, both of Rochester; his mother, Sophie Speigel of Delray Beach, FL.; two sisters, Eleanor Dale of Delray Beach and Ruth Behren of Boca Raton, Fla.; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Rabbi Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Emanuel Pearlman officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1909 E. Fayette St. After the services, friend\'s may call at their convenience at the family home. Contributions may be made to the Foundation of the Jewish Home of Central New York.
