Gerald A. Naistadt, 82, of 5100 Highbridge St., Fayetteville, died Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, he was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He had worked at DeWitt Packing Co. and retired in 1999 as a livestock buyer for William Straddling Co. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Philo-Mount Sinai Masonic Lodge and Onondaga Post 131 Jewish War Veterans. He was a master sergeant in the Army during World War II.
Survivors: His wife of 62 years, the former Betty Lipsy; a daughter, Sherry Rappaport of Fayetteville and Ronald of Manlius; three grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. today at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Burial, Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
