Sidney E. Tischler, 90, of Fayetteville, died at Van Duyn Nursing Home. Mr. Tischler was born in Pompey. He was the plant chief of the USAF Aeronautical Chart and Information Center of St. Louis, MO, until retiring in 1970. Sidney was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and remained on reserve through May of 1952. He was a 1936 graduate of Syracuse University. He was predeceased by his son Paul in 1994. Survived by his wife Mary; stepson Donald Cummings; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, graveside in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery, Jamesville Avenue, Syracuse. There are no calling hours. Contributions: Alzheimers Association.
