Anna (Berkowitz) Cohen
Mrs. Anna Cohen of 117 Alpine Drive, formerly of Lakewood, died this morning at the Jewish Home of Central New York. She was the widow of Morris Cohen. Mrs. Cohen was a Syracuse resident 25 years, and was a member of Young Israel of Syracuse. She also was a member of the Pioneer Womens Organization
and the Mizrachi Womens Organization. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Edward Cohen of Syracuse and Dr. Philip Cohen of DeWitt; two daughters, Mrs. Barney Meltzer and Mrs. Molly Weiner, both of DeWitt; two brothers, Hyman Berkowitz of Utica and Aaron Berkowitz of Natanya, Isreal; a sister, Mrs. Lena Levinson of Utica; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Alexander M. Goldstein and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow. Contributions may be made to the Jewish Home of Central New York.
