Joseph J. Marquisee lifelong resident of Syracuse and prominent merchant, died Friday morning at his home, Waverly ave, following a brief illness. Mr. Marquisee was a jobber in mens and womens furnishings for several years. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Lodge, F. and A. M. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leah Marquisee; a son Abe Marquisee; a daughter Miss Frieda Marquisee, and four brothers, Solomon, Samuel, Max I. and Jacob Marquisee. Funeral services will take place at the Temple Adath Yeshurun at 2 oclock Sunday afternoon, with Rabbi Irwin Hyman and Cantor Samuel Arluck officiating. Masonic services will be in charge of Harris Solomon, master of the Mt. Sinai Lodge, and burial will take place in Adath Yeshurun cemetery.
