Philip L Besdin Dies; Headed Furniture Firm Philip L. Besdin, founder and current president of Besdin Furniture. Stores, with seven locations throughout Central New York, died last night after a long illness.
Mr. Besdin, formerly of 320 Genesee Park Dr., was a Syracuse resident 70 years. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and Salt Springs Lodge 320, F and AM. Surviving are a son, Robert Besdin; two daughters, Mrs. Jay Rudolph and Mrs. Richard Shiffner; two brothers, Lewis of Milwaukee, Wis., and Max Besdin; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Sellinger, and five grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Birnbaum Funeral
Home. 1903 E. Fayette St., Rabbi Irvin I. Hyman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at the home of Mrs. Rudolph, 530 Scott Ave. Syracuse Post Standard January 8, 1965
