Marsha Helf, 57, died Wednesday evening in Chevy Chase, MD. She was born in Syracuse to Howard and Miriam Helf in 1957 and had been a resident of Syracuse until moving to Chevy Chase, MD in 2011. Marsha attended the Devereux Foundation School in Devon, PA for children with developmental disabilities. As an adult she participated in programs at Consolidated Industries and Hutchings Psychiatric Center. She was predeceased by her parents of blessed memory. Her family includes her brother, Tom (Michelle Brafman); niece, Gabriela, and nephew, Gideon. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family from noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Funeral Chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Devereux Foundation.
