Mark (Aronovici) Arnow
Mark Arnow, 84, died Wednesday morning at St. Josephs Hospital. Born in Romania, he settled in Israel in 1951, and in 1974 he moved to Syracuse and enjoyed a good life here with his family. He and his wife Barbara founded their business, Arnow Jewelers in 1983 together and worked side by side until retiring in 2007. They took great pride in offering unparalleled service and jewelry. They enjoyed a large circle of loyal and appreciative customers. Mark was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. Mark will forever be remembered for his honesty, warm smile, gentle nature and generosity to his community. He was predeceased by his sisters Clara Kamer, and Liza Neulander. His family includes his wife Barbara of 55 years, their children Angelika "Angi" Arnow, Michaela (Yossi) Ben Ezra, and Aharon (Esther) Arnon; grandchildren Natali, Aviv, Shachar, David, Sharone, Zohar, and Chen; and a large and loving extended family.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Friday, October 7, at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Friday from 12:30 to 2 PM at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street, Syracuse. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions in Marks memory may be made to The Israeli Defense Force in honor and recognition of his grandchildrens service, or the American Heart Association. Shiva will be observed at Barbara and Marks home Saturday night from 7-9PM, and Sunday evening from 7-9 PM.
