Helen A. (Shriber) Rothenberg January 26, 2010 Helen A. Rothenberg, 89, of Jacksonville, FL, died Tuesday after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Norwich, NY, where she graduated as valedictorian of her high school class. She moved to Syracuse in 1938, married, raised her family, and together with her husband, Lew, ran Nottingham Liquor Store for over 40 years. She moved to Florida in 1992. Helen was predeceased by Lew, her beloved husband of 55 years, and by all seven of her brothers and sisters. Survived by her children, David and Susan Rothenberg, Paula R. Harwood, Jill and Jane Rothenberg-Simmons, and Pamela Rothenberg and Michael Hill; her grandchildren, John and Michael Rothenberg, and Alexis and Audra Harwood; and by her nephews, Syd and Phil Aronson, with whom she was raised as though she were their sister. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Shiva will be held at the home of Steve and Marsha Rothenberg on Sunday following the funeral until 8 p.m. and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.; and then on Tuesday, February 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at David and Susan Rothenbergs home.
