Florence Mane Kamp, 70, of 111 LaFayette Road, Syracuse, died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital. Mrs. Kamp was a resident of Syracuse for 65 years. She taught business at North Syracuse High School, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Temple Society of Concord, Bnai Brith Womens Organization and Syracuse Contract Bridge Club. She graduated from Syracuse University in 1943. In 1945, she received her masters degree from Syracuse University. She was the widow of George J. Kamp, who died in 1983.
Surviving are two sons, Steven of Mesa, Ariz, and Dr. Ira Kamp of Ithaca; a daughter, Marcia Shernoff of Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Cecile Gitlin of Syracuse; a close friend and companion, Frank E. Mertens; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St., Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Temple Society of Concord.
