Gertrude (Bain) Byer
Mrs. Gertrude Byer; corporate officer Mrs. Gertrude Byer, 72, of 770 James St.. died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Maynard, 118 Ramsey Ave. She was corporate secretary of Byers Sales Inc., car dealership. Mrs. Byer was a member of LaFayette Country Club, Hadassah, the Council of Jewish Women, the Auxiliary of the Jewish Home of Central New York and Temple Adath Yeshurun and its Sisterhood. Surviving beside her daughter, are her husband, Irving Byer; two brothers, Donald Bain of Buffalo, and Howard Bain of Vero Beach, Fla., and five grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Alexander M. Goldstein and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, and at the convenience of friends, at her daughters home. Active pallbearers will be Edwin Wilson, Allen Byer,
Harold Lieberman, Carl Lustig, William Weisenberg and Lawrence Castle. Honorary pallbearers will be
