Rhoda Lerman
A breeder of champion Newfoundlands, the manager of the rock band called The Seven, one of the top four rock bands in New York State, and the author of six novels, two nonfiction books and a one woman play about Eleanor Roosevelt starring Jean Stapleton. The began her writing career with the Syracuse New Times and in addition to her books she wrote articles and stories for a variety of journals, newspapers and magazines. She was the cultural delegate to the government of Tibet in 1987, a board member of the New York State Council of the Arts and visiting professor of creative writing at SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Buffalo, Syracuse University, Hartwick College and the University of Boulder. She was also visiting professor of Judaic Studies in SUNY Binghamton.
