Lt. Francis Rochelson
Services for Lt. Francis Rochelson, 50, a member of the Syracuse Fire Department for 24 years, were held today at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Rabbi Charles Sherman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiated. Lt. Rochelson died yesterday in Community-General Hospital. The officer was appointed to the fire department in June 1953. He served with Engine companies 8, 19 and 10. He was promoted to lieutenant in September of this year. Lt. Rochelson was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He resided at 106 Haddonfield Drive, DeWitt, and was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and Firemens Local 280. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beverly Rochelson; a son, Eric Rochelson; a daughter, Miss Sandra Rochelson; his mother, Mrs. Rose Rochelson; a brother, Harry Rosenson of Fayetteville, and a sister, Mrs. Leon Hacker of Fayetteville.
Contributions may be made to the Burn Unit of State University Hospital, or the Jewish Home of Central New York.

Survived by a son, Eric (Liza) Rochelson; a daughter, Sondra Rochelson (Steven ) Goldberg; and five granddaughters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
