Marian Jachles Rifkin, 95 died Wednesday with her family by her side. Born in Cortland to Gussie and Harold Jachles she had been a resident of Syracuse for most of her life. She and her husband Irving of blessed memory were married June 30, 1946 and made their home in Syracuse. They raised their children here and had a wonderful life. Marian was a well known entertainer throughout her life; playing her accordion to the delight of her audiences. For many years she was the retail manager for Karch Beauty Supply. She was a lifetime member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, and the seniors at the JCC. Marian loved people and people loved her. She will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Irving who died 16 years ago to the day; her brother Louis Jachles; her sister Harriet Gardner; and her brothers-in-law Sol Lynne, and Morton Gardner. Her family includes her children Cantor Hal (Marti) Rifkin, Gail (Richard) Leess; her grandchildren Samantha (Jeremy) Garelick; David (Debbie) Rifkin, Steven Leess, Michael Leess; her great-grandchildren Zion, Emmett, Boaz, Lazar, and Aria; her sister Elinor Lynne; and sister-in-law Harriet Jachles. Funeral services will be at 1PM Friday, May 12 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Friday from 11:45 to 12:45 at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions in Marian\\'s memory may be made to the music fund at Temple Adath Yeshurun. Shiva will be observed at Marian\\'s home Saturday evening after sundown, Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
