Morton Miller, 90, of Syracuse died Thursday November 28 at Crouse Hospital. A life-long resident of Syracuse, he was the son of Koppel and Rose Miller. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Miller; two sons, Howard Miller of Santa Fe, NM; Michael Miller of Chestnut Ridge, NY; and a daughter, Deborah Clair of Havertown, PA. Survivors also include six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was a graduate of Central Technical High School, and Washington Radio Institute. In WWII Miller was a US Army Tech Sergeant and served four years in the Aleutian Islands. He was an officer in Onondaga County Post 131 of the Jewish War Veterans. For many years he worked as a technician for Philco and later was Assistant Chief Engineer and Engineering Supervisor at WNYS-TV 9. He was a life member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. An avid fisherman and woodworker, he was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. Funeral services will be this Sunday, December 1, at 1 p.m. at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family from noon to 1 at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
