Anna (Treinin) Roth

Anna Roth, 101, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Menorah Park. Anna was a caring and giving person who was treasured by her family and friends. She was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and she spent many years volunteering her time to help in the office, sisterhood and with bingo events. She also, along with her beloved husband, Ruben, volunteered for over 30 years at Crouse Hospital in the gift shop. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Ruben Roth in 1988; and her brothers, Harry Treinin and Isadore Treinin. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Dale) Roth and her daughter, Beth Cohen; three grandchildren, Stefanie Davis (Gregory), Scott Roth (Lauren) and Tricia Sherman (Scott); and four great-grandchildren, Sophie and Sadie Sherman and Sydney and Eli Roth.

Services will be conducted Monday, January 26, 2015, 11 a.m. at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 East Fayette Street. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the chapel on Monday prior to the service. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of her son, Joe Roth, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The family would like to thank the second floor staff at Menorah Park for the care they have given her over the past several years. Contributions in Annas honor may be made to Temple Adath Yeshurun or to Congregation Beth Sholom Chevra Shas.
