Arnold Allen Pine, 39, president of Powers Drug Co. Inc., of Syracuse, died June 5 at his home on Briarwood Lane, Manlius. Mr. Pine had been president of the company since 1973. Previously he was employed as a pharmacist for Rite Aid and Fays Drug Co. stores. A 1963 graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy, Mr. Pine was a member of the Rho Pi Phi pharmaceutical Society. He was also a member of the national, state and local pharmaceutical societies. He had served in the Army Medical Corps Reserve Unit. Mr. Pine was a member of the Temple Adath Yeshumn, the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and the Syracuse Better Business Bureau. Surviving are his wife, Jane, a son, Jeffrey M. Martin, both of Manlius; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Pine of Syracuse; and a sister, Mrs. Terri Posner of Phoenix, Ariz. Services were June 6 at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman officiating. Burial was in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
