Dr. Harvey Hayman, 51, of 6994 Old Quarry Rd. Fayetteville, died December 24. Dr Hayman specialized in internal medicine with an office in the Lyndon Office Park and had been assistant medical examiner since 1967. A life resident of the Syracuse area, Dr. Hayman was a graduate of Syracuse University and SUNY-College of Medicine in Syracuse. He interned at the University of Chicago Clinics and was a resident at the Upstate Medical Center. Dr. Hayman was a captain in the Air Force Medical Corps from 1960 to 1962. He became assistant professor of medicine at the Upstate Medical Center and was affiliated with Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. He was president of the Upstate Chapter of the American Heart Assn., from 1975 to 1976; chairman of the county of Coronary Emergency Services Committee 1973 to 1980; and former member of the board of directors of the Assn. for Retarded Children. He also was a member of county, state and national medical associations. He was consulting physician for Consolidated Industries of Greater Syracuse; medical consultant for Plaza Nursing Home; president of the Central New York Society of Internal Medicine, member of the board for the State Heart Affiliate from 1977 to 1979; member of the Coronary Heart Disease Committee, New York State Heart Affiliate; and member of the county\'s Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board. He was past president of the Lancet Society and former secretary and treasurer of the DeWitt Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife, Ellie; five children, Richard Hayman, Syracuse; Robert, Wendy, Susan and Nancy Hayman, all of Fayetteville; his mother, Jane Hayman, Syracuse; and a brother, Jack Hayman, Columbia, Md. Services were December 27 at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel with burial in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery
