Services for Julius J. Kruth , 71, of 241 LaFayette Road, who died Saturday at Community-General Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today in Temple Adath Yeshurun. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Calling hours will be noon to 2 p.m. today at the temple, 450 Kimber Road. After the funeral, friends may call at their convenience at the home of his son, Sheldon, 6755 Flame Tree Drive, Fayetteville. Mr. Kruth was a life resident of Syracuse . In 1950, he was founder and senior partner of Kruth, Stein, Squadrito, Shannon, Kauffman and Liberman, Certified Public Accountants, located at 711 E. Genesee St. He graduated cum laude from Syracuse University in 1941 and was an active alumnus, having served on the 50-year reunion committee. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kruth served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and was a former member of the board of directors. He also served as financial vice president of the temple. He was a member and past president of LaFayette Country Club and a member of Philo-Mount Sinai Masonic Lodge, Onondaga Post 131 Jewish War Veterans, New York State Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs and the Accounting Honorary Fraternity. Mr. Kruth was an avid sportsman. On two separate occassions, he scored holes-in-one on the same hole at LaFayette Country Club golf course. Surviving besides Sheldon Kruth are three other sons, Norman of Clay, Louis of Jamesville and Mark of Batavia, Ill.; two brothers, Marvin of Orangeburg and Sanford of Cleveland, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
