Philip Naistadt, 67, of 41 Lyndon Road, Fayetteville, died Wednesday evening at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Mr. Naistadt was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He was a former co-owner of DeWitt Packing Co., a meat packing concern, and was currently president of A.I.S. Livestock Ltd. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater in Germany and was one of the liberators of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Mr. Naistadt was a member of Onondaga Post 131 Jewish War Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Florence; three daughters, Andrea Lee Wilson of Longmeadow, Mass., and Ivy-Jo and Sara-Ann, both of New York City; two brothers, Gerald and Leonard, both of Syracuse; and two grandsons, Jonathan and Michael Wilson. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
