Joseph Brown, 101, a life resident of Syracuse, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Jewish Home of Central New
York. Joseph served in the US Army during WWII. He was the owner of Ad-Lite Venetian Blinds Company. For many years afterwards he was a pharmacist at Suburban Health Services in North Syracuse. Joe was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, past Commander of JWV Post 131, and led the annual Red Cross Blood Drive for the Jewish community. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 2008.
Survived by his son, Robert M. Brown; daughter, Eileen (David) Feingold; grandchildren Jeffrey (Heather), Andrew, and Scott (Becky) Feingold; and great-grandson, Chase Ethan Feingold.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the chapel on Monday immediately prior to the service. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at Eileens house Monday thru Thursday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Contributions may be may to Temple Adath Yeshurun or the Foundation at Menorah Park.
