Carole S. Gordon, 77, died Wednesday at Crouse Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Utica, she had been a resident of Syracuse since 1956. Carole was the former co-owner of The Needle\'s Point with her good friend Reggie Goldenberg, and later owned Paperworks, Ltd. Carole very much enjoyed being with her family and many dear friends. She was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. Carole was a wonderful listener. She was an interested and caring friend, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her frankness, honesty and warmth will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Gurvitz. Survived by her husband Richard of 56 years; her daughter, Nancy Gordon Alderman; her sons, Stephen (Lorraine), and David (Kim); her 10 grandchildren; her sisters, Doris Root, and Ellen Cramer; and her brother-in-law, Edward (Helene) Gordon. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. this Sunday at Temple Adath Yeshurun. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday prior to the service from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Temple, 450 Kimber Road, Syracuse. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Shiva will be observed Monday and Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 at Richard\'s home. Contributions may be made to the foundation of Menorah Park.
