Lillian lived and loved life to the fullest until her death in Peabody, MA on July 21, 2005. As one of six children born to Rose and Max Alper of Gloucester, Mass., Lillian graduated from Simmons College, married and moved to Syracuse where she was active in many local civic organizations while earning a masters degree in education at Syracuse University at the age of 47. She worked as a career skills teacher in the Syracuse City Schools until her mid 70s. Since then, she has continued to teach and to entertain older adults (with her dynamic piano sing-a-longs) until her final weeks. She was a lifelong active member at Temple Adath Yeshurun.
