Ruth Fait Licker, 93, died Monday evening at Menorah Park. Born in Schenectady, Ruth had been a resident of Syracuse for almost 70 years. Ruth was a very active member of her community. She was a past president of both Hadassah and the Women\'s Auxiliary of the Jewish Home of CNY, a board member of the Jewish Home of CNY, a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and the sisterhood of the Temple, a charter member of B\'nai Brith, a member of the Crouse-Irving Auxiliary, a volunteer with the Red Cross Bloodmobile, and a member of the Pompey Golf and Country Club. Her husband, Dr. Irving Licker died in 1980. Survived by her daughters and sons-law, Judy and Dr. Jerome Laffer and Susan and Charles Gilinsky; her son and daughter-in-law, William and Judy Licker; her grandchildren, David Seketa, Amy Seketa, Lisa Oliver, Marshall and Lisa Gilinsky and Dr. Jeremy and Ellen Schiller; and her great-grandchildren, Ben and Tommy Seketa, Luna and Noah Schiller, and Dahlia Gilinsky. Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family today from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 East Genesee St. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
