Charles Alper
Charles Alper, 83, of 4101 E. Genesee St., died Friday afternoon at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Alper lived in Syracuse 50 years. He was the founder and proprietor of Ivy Hall, a clothing store located on South Crouse Avenue, adjoining the campus of Syracuse University. He retired from business in 1987. Mr. Alper was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Philo-Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge, Friendship Club of the Jewish Community Center and the Grouse-Marshall Business Association Mr. Alpers wife, Sadie, died in 1986.
