May 13, 2006 Robert R. "Mutsy" Wallace, 85, died on Saturday at his home in Dewitt. Born in Walton, NY, he ran the Wallace Bag Company of Walton before coming to Syracuse, where he was an honored leader agent for the Prudential Insurance Company. "Mutsy" was an avid athlete who competed as a champion tennis player. He also loved to play football, basketball and run track. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the 253rd combat engineers unit. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn; his son, Larry; his daughter, Judith; grandsons, Patrick and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street, Syracuse.
