Ruth Levine, 81, died Friday evening at Menorah Park. Born in Worcester, MA, she had been a resident of Syracuse for over 60 years, and the #2 SU sports fan, after her husband, Marvin of blessed memory, who was #1. She loved her family, being with people, cooking and camping. Ruth was the caterer, and social director at Temple Beth El, but Ruth left her mark as the founder of the Senior Lunch Program at the JCC where she lovingly prepared meals for many years. She was the beloved wife to Marvin for 60 years; mother of Sheila (Jeffrey) Ziegler, and Richard (Valerie) Levine; and the loving grandmother of Matthew Ziegler, Max Levine, and Hannah Levine. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 13 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street.
