Edith Alderman Schwartzberg, 80, of 211 Hurlburt Road died Wednesday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Schwartzberg was a life resident of Syracuse. She was a graduate of Syracuse Normal School and received her bachelor\'s degree from the Syracuse University School of Music. Mrs. Schwartzberg was a teacher at Madison Elementary School. She also instructed students at SU on teaching music. Mrs. Schwartzberg was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, its Sisterhood, the Hadassah and the Lafayette Country Club. She appeared in several Ken Bowles Drama Group productions. Surviving are her husband, Seymour; a son, Gerald F. of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Judith H. Bernal of Ithaca and Lois E. Goodman of Wellsley, Mass.; a brother, Henry Alderman of Lewiston; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
