Joseph Rubenstein, 85, of 3236 Southfield Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Mr. Rubenstein was a life resident of the Syracuse area and the former proprietor of an Esso Service Station at Harrison and Irving Avenues. He retired in 1970. He was a 50-year member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and also a member of the temple men\\'s club. He was a former member of the Joshua Lodge, Knights of Pythysis and the Central New York Service Station Operation Association. Surviving are his wife, Blanche; a son, Jerry of Dewitt; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Birbun Funeral Chapel, with Rabbi Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Emanuel Perlman officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
