Judge Morris Schneider, of Delray Beach, FL, died on November 26 at the age of 99. He was born on September 7, 1914, in the Bronx, and lived 60 years in Syracuse. He was the last surviving child born to Julius and Sarah Schneider. Judge Schneider graduated from both St. Johns University and Fordham Law School. He married Edythe Hayman of Syracuse, NY, April 18, 1943, while serving in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant; he was stationed during World War II in France as a tank commander. He later served as Commander of the Onondaga County, NY, Jewish War Veterans Post. He had a distinguished career in law in firms in both New York City and Syracuse. He was a senior district attorney for Onondaga County and was elected to the bench as a family court judge, from which he retired in 1984. He moved from Syracuse, with his wife to Delray Beach, FL, in 2003. He is survived by son, Donald (Carol) Schneider of Boca Raton, FL; daughter, Joanie Schneider (Jerry) Tempesta of North Reading, MA; grandchildren, Stephanie Tempesta and Suzannah Schneider; great-granddaughter, Alexandria; and niece, Marilyn (Arnold) Manheim of Syracuse.
