Nathan Alan Cohen, M.D., 89, of Summerville, SC, husband of Ann Marie Bukowski Miller-Cohen, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 10, 2015.

His funeral service will be held at the graveside on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Second Home Cemetery in Milwaukee at 1:00 pm; services will be under the direction of Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home, Milwaukee, WI. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, North Charleston, SC.

Nathan was born March 29, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late Jacob Cohen and the late Minnie Rothstein Cohen. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. Nathan was a physician for over 50 years and was the Director of Laboratories for St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse, NY for 19 years. He was active in the American Kennel Club and was an avid ballroom dancer. Nathan was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, of Summerville, SC; a daughter, Jessica Brown (Andy) of Goleta, CA and grandchild, Corina Brown; son, Jonathan Cohen (E.J.) of Mercer Island, MD and grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Cohen; daughter, Jacqueline Roth of Annapolis, MD and grandchildren: Lindsay, Kyle and Sage Roth; step-sons, Shad Miller of Cranston, RI and Timothy Miller (Kristi) of Chevy Chase, MD and grandchild, Rowan Miller; cousin, David Cohen of Florida; and his loving canine companion, Jojo.
