Rose Byer, 97, of Miami Beach, Fla., died there Saturday. She was born in Syracuse and lived there until 1958, when she moved to Miami Beach. She was a former member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Sisterhood of the Temple, LaFayette Country Club and Hadassah. Her husband, Louis, died in 1963. Surviving are two daughters, Priscilla Port of Syracuse and Melva Klayman of Lauderhill, Fla.; a sister, Freda Shapero of Landerhill, Fla.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services and burial were in Florida. A local memorial service will be at a later date. Birnbaum Funeral Service had
local arrangements.
