Burton "Sonny" Wandner

Burton "Sonny" Wandner, 82, died Tuesday at St. Josephs Hospital. Burt was a life resident of Syracuse. He was the owner of an office supply and sundries business specifically servicing auto dealerships and auto auction houses. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Onondaga Post 131 of the Jewish War Veterans, Philo-Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge, and the DAV. A veteran of WWII, Burt served in the Army Air Corps for three years in the European Theatre. Survived by his wife, Ruth of 59 years, their son, Joel; their daughters, Carol (Ron) Schott, Marcia Horan, and Wendy Allsop; his brother, Jack (Carol) Wandner, their 10 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday at Sisskind Funeral Service. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
