David Bloom, 89, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at University Hospital. Mr. Bloom was a founder and partner in the local accounting firm of Bloom and Gravante CPA\'s, a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Philo Mt. Sinai Lodge, Central City Consistory and Tigris Shrine. David was a civilian employee of the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II, stationed at Hancock Air Base in the Quartermaster Corp. He was predeceased by his wife, Roslyn Bloom in 2000. Survived by his sons, Steven (Tina) Bloom, Michael Bloom, and grandson, Gregory Bloom. Services will be conducted on Friday, June 13, 2008, 2 p.m. at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Temple Adath Yeshurun, 450 Kimber Rd., Syracuse, NY 13224.
