November 18, 2005 Lewis "Kiki" Roth, passed away peacefully at home in Syracuse on Friday, November 18, 2005. Mr. Roth was born in Syracuse at Crouse-Irving Hospital on July 26, 1923. He was a graduate of Nottingham High School, where he was a football and track star. Mr. Roth served as a lieutenant for 3-1/2 years in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed on Kwajalein Island in the South Pacific. Lewis was a graduate of Syracuse University and a member of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. Mr. Roth was president of Roth Steel Corporation for over 50 years. As the owner, he was active in committee work for the ISRI Board and the Western Chapter of ISRI. He was a past council member of the Onondaga County Industrial Development Committee and a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and LaFayette Country Club. Lewis was the son of Philip and Leona Roth. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Berger Roth; son, Howard; daughter, Joan Roth. Memorial service will be conducted at noon Monday, November 21, 2005, at Temple Adath Yeshurun, 450 Kimber Road, Syracuse. Friends may call at the temple from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday.
