January 26, 2006 Belle Shapero, 95, died Thursday at The Heritage Apartments at Loretto. Miss Shapero had been a clerk for the Onondaga County Department of Social Services until her retirement. Belle was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and the Sisterhood of the Temple, Bnai Brith and Hadassah. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jacob and Julius Shapero; and her sisters, Pauline Grossman, Hilda Shapero, Bessie Jacobs, Gladys Levis and Mollie Goldstein. Survived by her brother, Ephraim E. Shapero; several nieces and nephews locally including Ava (Dr. Irving) Raphael, and Edwin (Doris) Shapero; her grandnephews, Dr. Richard (Renee) Levy, Dr. Bradley Raphael and Brian Raphael; and her grandniece, Brooke Raphael. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Frumah Packard Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Loretto Heritage Apartments, 750 Brighton Ave., Syracuse. Sisskind Funeral Service LLC 3175 E.
