Harry S. Berson, 68, of 207 Cooper Lane, DeWitt, died Tuesday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Mr. Berson was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He retired in 1989 after 39 years as the proprietor of Alberts Service Station on East Fayette Street. A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Berson was a member of Onondaga Post 131, Jewish War Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Shirley of DeWitt; a son, Stuart of West
Orange, N.J.; two daughters, Gayle Franklin of Jamesville and Sandra Rosenfeld of Lexington, Mass.; four
brothers, Morton, Philip, Sidney and William, all of Syracuse; two sisters, Ruth and Bernice Berson, both of Syracuse; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbi
Charles S. Sherman and Cantor Emanuel Perlman officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, 1909 E, Fayette St. After the services, friends will
be received at the home of his daughter, Gayle, 6300 Danbury Drive, Jamesville. Contributions may be made to Temple Adath Yeshurun or the American Heart Association.
