Eli Chase Chazanovitz, 65, of 1324 Meadowbrook Drive died Sunday at Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital. Mr. Chazanovitz was the proprietor of the Syracuse Stamp and Coin Co., He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, a board member of Congregation Beth Sholom-Chevra Shas and a member of Joshua Lodge, Knights of Phythias. Mr. Chazanovitz was a veteran of World War II and a member of Onondaga Post 131, Jewish War Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Lillian; a daughter, Holly of Boston, Mass,; a brother, Joe of Wilmington, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Nitkin and Esther Chase, both of Forest Hills; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Rabbis Charles S. Sherman and Theodore S. Levy and Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. After the funeral friends may call at their convenience at the family residence, 1324 Meadowbrook Drive. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Military services will be conducted by the members of Onondaga Post 131, Jewish War Veterans.
