Anita Altman, 88, born in Syracuse, was a former resident of Cazenovia and lived at 18 Arbor Lane in DeWitt for the past two years, died Monday, October 31, 2005 at Crouse Hospital. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke College in the Class of 1940. Mrs. Altman was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, past President of the Sisterhood, active in United Jewish Appeal, past President of the League of Women Voters, a former President of the Cazenovia Garden Club, and active in the Cazenovia PTA. Mrs. Altman was predeceased in 1997 by her husband, Abraham Altman. Survived by her son, Stephen (Amy) Altman; daughter, Beth (Steven Perlmutter) Altman; and four grandchildren, Naomi Altman, Sarah, Rachel and Daniel (Amy) Perlmutter. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 3 at 2 p.m. at the Birnbaum Funeral Chapel. Friends many call from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Chapel, 1909 East Fayette Street.
