Seymour "Sey" Shiroki

Sey passed away Friday afternoon. Born in Brooklyn in 1932, in 1940 his family moved to rural Connecticut, where Sey attended a one-room school house. He graduated from the University of Connecticut, where he was known as Mr. Accountant and also where he met Marcy. They moved to Syracuse in 1959 and subsequently opened his CPA firm Shiroki Associates. Later, after selling the firm, he accepted the position of CFO at Advanced DC Motors. Sey always put a high value on education and a strong state of Israel. To that end he was a longtime and staunch supporter of the American Friends of Hebrew University, where contributions in his memory would be a wonderful tribute, One Battery Park Plaza, NY, NY 10004. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcy; their children, Karen Bishop, Kathy Shiroki and Robert (Laurianna) Shiroki; and their grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Jake, Bessie and Jill. Calling hour will be 10 to 11 a.m. today at Sisskind Funeral Chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. At Seys request there will be no service, and burial in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery will be private. Friends are invited to Marcy and Seys home from 7 to 9 this evening.
